William Harrison Folsom dictation : Manti, Utah, 1886.

Mormon convert of 1843; to California from Koekuk in 1849; at Rough and Ready and Coyote Diggings, 1850; back to Iowa, 1852; to Salt Lake, 1860; Mormon Church architect; contracting and building in Salt Lake City. Includes brief account of experiences in California goldfields and as architect and builder of the church on the Temple and the Tabernacle, Salt Lake City, and the Manti-Temple. Recorded by L.H. Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area.
